Guest ChrisAC Report post Posted 02/22/2006 03:31 PM Hello, I've put VG through testing, and decided to purchase it. I want the enterprise version for the com objects & the ability to edit vgs scripts. I don't need the dialer, but maybe I can squeeze a one line dialer licence. I am using (2) voice modems successfully with the trial version. My questions are: First Question Since I am not using a telephony board, is the current version listed on your website (VoiceGuide 5.2.5012a) the current version for voice modems? The demo version I'm running now is 5.2.5032which I picked up from a past forum post here. This may be just a hybrid built for that particular issue. Should I keep this, or download a fresh 5.2.5012a ? Second Question: My company is too small for more than two phone lines so I haven't considered a Dialogic board. Is there a 2 line VG Enterprise license I can purchase, or do I have to buy the 4 line enterprise version? Example: VG Enterprise 1 Line $149.00 VG Enterprise 1 Line $149.00 VG Dialer (1 Line) $129.00 Total Cost $427.00 can allow me to afford VG Dialer on one line too. Thanks for your time, Chris Share this post Link to post
Guest Lila Report post Posted 02/22/2006 07:49 PM Hello, I would also prefer using voice modems instead of buying the expensive Dialogic board. Please, share your experience with using 2 voice modems. Could you tell me their brand names? Are they USB? If not, how do you connect them to the pc? Did they manage well 2 calls at the same time? Any problems? Have you tested 4 modems? Share this post Link to post
Guest ChrisAC Report post Posted 02/22/2006 08:00 PM Did they manage well 2 calls at the same time? Any problems? Have you tested 4 modems? I did a review & listed some specs in the top post titled List Of Recommended Voice Modems. They did well answering calls at the same time. Personally, I wouldn't try 4 modems at once, I believe I was lucky just getting 2 to work. Chris Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/22/2006 09:41 PM Should I keep this, or download a fresh 5.2.5012a ? Just stick with what you have now. No need to re-install. The number of Dialer licenses must be the same as number of lines used. so you will need to have 2 Dialers. (you're better off getting two Ent+Dialer licenses) Share this post Link to post

(you're better off getting two Ent+Dialer licenses) Got it. Ent + dialer for each. Will do. Sorry, but I thought of something after I posted earlier. In the near future, if I decide to buy a Dialogic, will my VoiceGuide software still work? I see reference to the "Dialogic" version. (I think I read that version is 6.x) If there hasn't been any major version changes from today, would that require an upgraded license? Thanks again, Chris Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/23/2006 12:33 AM The licenses issued will work on current VoiceGuide for Dialogic as well. If there hasn't been any major version changes from today, would that require an upgraded license? No. Your current license will work. Share this post Link to post
