bwenzel@cleartel.com Report post Posted 03/15/2006 01:34 AM We are currently running an Intel DMV480 tT1 board in pri isdn mode with our phone system. In order to run multiple scripts I will need view the DNIS number coming from our Avaya switch. Caller ID can be used if calling from an outside number. When trying to transfer internally through the company phone system we are only able to send a DNIS number, CID comes through 'null'. Is there any way for voiceguide to pick up this number that is being sent to it? I saw a value $RV_DNIS in this forum which did not work. The value for the variable was null. We have just purchased the 48 line + dialer. But we are unable to take full advantage of these lines until we can run multiple scripts. Any help would be greatly appreciated. SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/15/2006 02:43 AM VoiceGuide will accept and use the DNIS and CallerID if this information is sent to it from the Switch sending the call. Is the Avaya switch sending this information when it is sending a call on these lines? If it is then you should be able to just use $RV_DNIS in your scripts to access it's value and perform script switching etc. based on that value. To trace the ISDN messages place attached file in "c:\" and restart VG. Make a few calls and then close VG and post the trace which will be created in "c:\". Remove/rename the TraceSelect file before restarting VG as this file should only be used for debugging. The calls must arrive on 'first' T1 line. ktTelControl_TraceSelect.txt Share this post Link to post
bwenzel@cleartel.com Report post Posted 03/15/2006 02:18 PM Thanks for your quick response. What would be the next step if the RV_DNIS value is coming back null?CID works but DNIS doesnt. The trace program that you sent runs but does not record any data. The file it creates is empty. Thanks again for your help. Brian Share this post Link to post
bwenzel@cleartel.com Report post Posted 03/15/2006 02:38 PM does this have something to do with the protocol in config.xml? Right now it is set to ISDN Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/15/2006 08:51 PM Sounds like the switch is not sending the DNIS information then. You should contact Avaya and ask them why is the switch not sending DNIS, and how to fix it so that it does. Have you restarted VG after placing the .txt file in c:\ ? Are the calls arriving on the 'first' T1 line on this system? does this have something to do with the protocol in config.xml? No. Right now it is set to ISDN That's the correct setting.
