Grouping Outbound Calls

Is there a way to group outbound calls to the same phone number so that one call is made instead of 2 or 3 calls. The calls a queued up as requested, but we don't know ahead of time if we will be calling the same number multiple times.

You would need to look in the OutDialQue database to see if the number is in there already or not.

 

If you'd like we could create a modified version which checks for duplicates in database before adding the new number to be called.

I can program the system to check for duplicates...but how do I append the second message to the first? Do I have to do some kind of dynamic wav mixing?

Ah, so this is about making one call to deliver the many messages, not delivering the same message multiple times..

 

Usual approach is for the script ran when call is answered to check for what msgs are available and play them.

 

See how VoiceGuide's voicemail system does this - scripts are in VG's \system\vm\ subdirectory.
