Reading Database Queries

Our Voice Guide script pulls a name out of a database given a designation number entered by the caller. We would like Voice Guide to read this name back to the caller for confirmation, but are unable to determine the best way to do this.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you need do use the text-to-speech features - any Play module can do TTS - just place the Result Variable in the "Text to speak" text box and the contents will be played out.

 

Names (and especially surnames) are not always pronounced spot-on by the TTS engines, but it is usually adequate for a confirmation.
