Guest Guest Report post Posted 03/30/2006 01:05 AM Our company has a auto answering system where if the phone rings more than 4 times, it gets forwarded to another line where our answering system people will answer the phone. Now, the transfew with VG seems to be working fine when transfering to the line and a person in our company picks up the phone. However, when we let it ring more than 4 times and the people over at our answering system get the transfer. We get as far as hearing them saying "hello" but get disconnected before two calls are connected to each other. I assumed that this was because the hookflash time was not long enough so I have tried to increase the flash time but this seems to be not helping. Any suggestions? Thank you very much. SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/30/2006 01:15 AM So the transfer from VoiceGuide works fine when the extension to which the call is being transferred is picked up within 4 rings, yes? But if the extension is not picked up within 4 rings then you have your phone system setup to transfer that call some where else, yes? Based on that it sounds like it's the second leg of transfer that is having problems here and you should be looking at the phone system which is doing the second transfer... Is VG and the original transfer destination as well as the fail-over extension all on the same PBX or is the arrangement more complicated? Share this post Link to post
