avcardtech Report post Posted 03/30/2006 02:51 PM If an incoming caller must be transferred to a person, does the incoming line stay engaged while the transfer takes place, or is that line released? Can you explain how the telephone card integrates with VoiceGuide? Thanks. AvcardTech Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/31/2006 12:49 AM If the call is transferred out using a 'hookflash' transfer then the line becomes free to take another call - just like a human operator would be free to answer another call if they transferred the current call out to another extension. Can you explain how the telephone card integrates with VoiceGuide? You just place the Dialogic card in the PC and VoiceGuide will use that card. For a list of cards see: http://www.voiceguide.com/suppRecomHardware.htm Share this post Link to post
avcardtech Report post Posted 03/31/2006 02:51 PM If not using a "hookflash', and programmatically transferring a call to another line (person), does the original line stay engaged, or is it freed up for another call? I need to know how many lines we need. 4 is enough if 4 are available. Please provide info on the number of lines that can be engaged for one incoming call. In our system, no outgoing calls are required. Thanks. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/31/2006 09:08 PM Call transfers are either 'hookflash' transfers or 'dial and conference'/'trombone' transfers. Hookflash transfers will free up the line and the other type ties up 2 lines for the entire length of call. Which type of transfer will you be using on your system? Have you read the Help file's entry on the Call Transfer module? See: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/modXfer.htm Share this post Link to post
