jack333 Report post Posted 04/03/2006 03:54 PM I am evaluating VG for Dialogic using a D4PCI on Windows XP. Everything is perfect except that I cannot consistently detect ringback when dialing out over VOIP. I used PBXpert to analyse the tones, and set up the ConfigLine file accordingly. I get a 'no ringback' event at least 20% of the time. When I dial out on an analog line (with the same ConfigFile setup) I do not experience this problem. I have tried the following, without success: - I have progressively broadened the tolerances on the ringback tone definition to the point where it is essentialy a shotgun approach, encompassing frequencies and durations way beyond anything I encountered after an exhaustive recording and analysis of the actual tones over a period of several days. - I increased the decibel level of the ringback tone generated by my VOIP adapter - I reduced the minimum DTI off and increased the minimum DTI on I noticed from the tw log that the 'TID_RNGBK2' tone definition was not being initialized. I added my own 'MY_RNGBK2' tone definition which is successful in capturing the ringback on occasion. If this problem cannot be resolved, at the very least, is there some way of preventing the scripts from running in the event of a 'no ringback' event? In the attached logs, the first 10 calls are over VOIP with several 'no ringback' events, while the next 10 calls are over analog line. Thanks in advance 0403tw.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/03/2006 09:24 PM Is the VoIP adapter re-generating the ringback tone or is it passing on the ringback tone from the destination? You were calling different numbers when dialing out using VoIP and when dialing out using analog. Please re-test dialing the same number suing both approaches... chances are that the number you called using VoIP does not generate ringback tone reliably... Also please update to latest VG for Dialogic patch (see our Downloads page). Share this post Link to post
jack333 Report post Posted 04/03/2006 10:01 PM I believe the voip adapter is regenerating tones, as its documentation specifies all of the call progress tones, which can be modified. When dialing out using voip (Line A) I was calling an analog phone (Line . When dialing using analog it is the very same (Line that I am using to call the very same voip (Line A). The analog line in question is with a certain 'venerable' phone company, and I would fully expect it to perform properly. However, I will try your suggestion. Which are the relevent files of the new patch in overwriting v.6.0.3002 Thanks for your response. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/03/2006 10:25 PM Which are the relevent files of the new patch in overwriting v.6.0.3002 Just use all the files from the new patch. Make sure to unregister old OCX before replacing it, and then register new OCX. Share this post Link to post
Guest Guest Report post Posted 04/05/2006 08:54 PM I've upgraded to 6.0.3095. I've set aside VOIP and I'm now calling from pots to pots. I am not answering the call, but I'm getting 'CON_CAD' resulting in the script running. How do I address this? Thanks 0405tw.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/05/2006 10:15 PM Set the ringback tone definitions right so that they are detected by the card. If the card cannot hear any ringbacks then it will issue the 'CON_CAD'. Share this post Link to post
