We would like to know if VG may transfer calls to digital telephones on a PBX and will VG utilize or perform ACD features?

It can function as an ACD, but that would require CTI integration with your PBX in order to allow VG to see what extensions are available etc.

 

What PBX do you have and what CTI interface does it have?

What CTI do you guys work with? Tapi? Or can you work with a serial or cat5 connetion for the ACD?

 

We are setting up a auto dialer which will use a PBX to transfer the calls when needed. Also, it makes sense for us to utilize a ACD function...which I understand VG can do....So, we need to decide on what digital cards to buy (we are going to use a PRI connection) and what digital phones, PBX and CTI and or any other details.

 

All the phone equipment people are mad because your software does everything they want to sell us....

 

So, I would rather just hear from you guys what we should get...PBX, cards, phones and anything else.

 

Can you guys talk to our phone equipment vendors today? We will be available for another hour or so...

TAPI is fine.

Serial is fine as well, but what is the protocol that would be used over the Serial connection?

By "cat5" I assume you mean some propriety Ethernet/IP based link?

 

What PBXs you have to choose from? Is Avaya an option? "Avaya Office IP406 V2" is a pretty good PBX...
