Dumping Phy. Memory & Wave Driver Not Installed

Recommended Posts

I need to do a demo for IVR, now I've installed a Practical K56 Fax/Data/Voice Modem in

1.) Windows XP Pro w/ SP2

2.) Windows 2000 Pro w/ SP

I did try a soft modem before, but it can't receive any call and when dial out, it will just ring once and hang up.

now I've changed the modem and seem the problem is solved, but there has 2 more big problems.

1.) when VoiceGuide receive a call, windows will auto restart and shown a blue screen with "Dumping Physical Memory".

2.) every time after I restart my computer, and run VoiceGuide again, the status of IVR device will shown "Wave Driver not installed", but I've checked with "System" and "Sound and Audio Devices", Modem Wave Driver is already installed and running successfully.

and I've to uninstall and reinstall the model driver, in these days I was always restart, uninstall modem, reinstall modem....

is there has any step I was missing or is there has any patch I can download or what should I do?

Please give me a hand... I've worked on VoiceGuide around a week already but nothing is success.

Thanks,

Jacky

That's the modem driver causing such this.

Only device drivers run at a privilege level where they can cause Blue Screen failure.

We say it all the time and we say it again here: Modems are a lottery, especially if you use something else then a leading brand (USR, Creative, etc)

Just get a second hand Dialogic card if $ is an issue, see Ebay...

thanks for your reply, the first problem I'll try to find out a updated driver.

and my model is conexant chip, and in your link, some guest has mentioned conexant is work well with VoiceGuide, right?

but how's about the second problem?

is there has any way can let VoiceGuide detect my wave driver?

since I've installed wave driver already, and I don't want to repeat the action of uninstall and reinstall...

Thanks,

Jacky

If the Wave driver is correctly installed then VG will detect it...

Get a modem/card that works and you'll see that problem will disappear as well.
