Frank Report post Posted 04/15/2006 06:03 PM I'm putting together a VG-based system for a local wildlife shelter (donation-supported, no tax $, two employees and lots of volunteers). Its primary use will be for voicemail, but maybe more importatly, to playback info to callers on how to handle diff. types of problems with injured wildlife based on the callers' touchpad keypresses. Handling these repetitive calls is one of the larger tasks they have. We need to cover two analog lines (one voice only, one shared fax/voice that I think VG can use to handle both voice (maybe configure as a rollover from the primary line) and incoming fax (rare). I've a donated Creative Modem Blaster DE5620-3 and a Cardinal 020-0480 (date code 475-504) to start with but from what I've read, the Dialogic will have better outgoing sound quality. Are you still recommending the D/4PCIU as the least expensive entry-level card? At the prices I've seen, that'll break the bank, but I'll keep an eye on ebay. Thanks! VG looks to be a wonderful program and this is going to save the shelter a lot of time. Share this post Link to post
