Guest EricGuest Report post Posted 06/05/2006 08:38 AM I was following the instructions to install VoiceGuide for Dialogic patch v6.0.3107 . I am running Windows 98, using a Proline/2V (ISA, analog) with 2 direct regular telephone lines. Some differences in the instructions with Windows 98 operating system, I could only successfully run the "regsvr32 -u tapiwrap.ocx" and "regsvr32 MsComm32.ocx" commands directly by going to Start...Run... (didn't have to go to DOS), but when it came to "regsvr32 ktTelControl.ocx", I got the error "LoadLibrary("ktTelControl.ocx") failed. GetLastError returns 0x00000485." Before this, I had been running the evaluation version of VoiceGuide 5.2.5049 for a day or so. It worked great with a script I wrote to answer and redirect/transfer calls according to caller-id's. I haven't tested announced transfers or 3-way announced conference calls nor any type of outbound dialing yet because the evaluation period expired, and I'm being prompted to order (which I have done at this writing and am waiting for the registration codes). In my situation, is it necessary to install the 'VoiceGuide for Dialogic patch'? Will I be able to do announced 3-way calls /transfers without the 'VoiceGuide for Dialogic patch'? Any differences in automated outbound dialing between the regular VoiceGuide vs the one for Dialogic/patch? Thanks. Eric Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 06/06/2006 10:45 AM We'd recommend using VG for Dialogic. Looks like your Win98 system is missing some DLLs that ktTelControl.ocx requires. You can try installing the latest IE et, or it may be easier to just update to WinXP. Share this post Link to post
