Guest SalC Report post Posted 07/15/2003 05:06 PM Hi. I downloaded the new preview to evaluate it and found a couple of things wrong in this version: 1) My voice modem doesn't play sound on the phone but it did and worked with the other versions. 2) Send phone message dialer does not dial out. It gets loaded in the dialer database but doesn't dial out. May be related to my other post http://katalinatech.com/forums/index.php?a...ct=ST&f=2&t=396 Thanks. Share this post Link to post
rleflore Report post Posted 07/15/2003 05:08 PM I'm having a problem as well with the audio output going to the handset when a call is made. Is there a fix yet? Share this post Link to post
Guest SalC Report post Posted 07/21/2003 03:03 PM I tried this again but with the newer updates (vg50Beta_1003) and still have the same problems... Please respond soon, thanks! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/22/2003 12:48 AM If the sound files are being played on the PC speaker instead of through the telephone line then the problem is with the Wave drivers. To fix this the Wave drivers need to be re-installed. The best approach is to uninstall all the wave drivers on your system, restart the computer and then install the modem's/telephony card's drivers first, then make a call into the system and if all is fine then continue with installing the wave drivers for the sound card. Guest SalC Report post Posted 07/22/2003 03:06 PM I don't think the problem is with the wave drivers. If voice works for 4.90, why doesn't it work for 5.0?? I have gone back and forth installing each version and the same thing is happening. Also, the sound doesn't play through the speakers INSTEAD of the phone. It just doesn't play at all with version 5.0 but it does with 4.9 but 4.9 has other problems with send message to phone and hangup scripts. I need a stable version to run otherwise I'm running out of time and will need to look elsewhere. I've been waiting for the past 2 weeks for you to address the issues I brought forth to this forum. Please read my other posts about the dialer and hangup script. Share this post Link to post
Guest SalC Report post Posted 07/22/2003 04:57 PM I downloaded and Installed beta4 but got an error on XP about not able to register tapiwrap.ocx. When I try to run it it gives an error: Run-Time Error 339 Component 'TapiWrap.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid. I checked and the file is in the system32 folder. Any ideas? Did this beta fix the bugs? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/22/2003 11:37 PM OK. Beta4 is mising a file - we will upload a version with all the files in a few hours. Regarding the problems with the playing of the sound files on your system: Could you please post here a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going wrong. (When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.) Share this post Link to post

Guest SalC Report post Posted 07/23/2003 04:51 PM Ok, I did find something..... The second alternate number does not get dialed after the make call number and first alternate number are not ansered in the send message to phone module. It deletes the record from the OutDialQue and does not schedule for the second alternate. Here is the log file. I have the script take a message then run a afterhangup script to deliver the message to who is on call based on a database and the send message to phone module properties. Below is the afterhangup script which loads the phone numbers. Guest SalC Report post Posted 07/23/2003 07:06 PM I also tried creating the OutDial_New.txt file in the data folder with the following, all on one line: 2:52 PM 7/23/03, "136", 0, 0, C:\Program Files\ivg\system\voice\AcceptAutoCall.wav, C:\Program Files\ivg\Scripts\Support2\Voicemail Server.vgs, [ProblemID]{0034}[ProblemType]{72}, "126", 0, 0, C:\Program Files\ivg\system\voice\AcceptAutoCall.wav, C:\Program Files\ivg\Scripts\Support2\Voicemail Server.vgs, [ProblemID]{0034}[ProblemType]{72}, "136", 3, 10, C:\Program Files\ivg\system\voice\AcceptAutoCall.wav, C:\Program Files\ivg\Scripts\Support2\Voicemail Server.vgs, [ProblemID]{0034}[ProblemType]{72} It will only schedule the first call, even if it doesn't answer. Is the format correct as per the help file? What is wrong with this and the module? Thanks Share this post Link to post

Outdial alternate number and OutDial_New.txt file bug: Fixed in Beta6 - out later today. SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/25/2003 02:41 AM Starting with v5.0 the Answering Machine Message and RVs for each specified call using the OutDial_New.txt file are no longer optional - so the string below is missing some commas - I've put the commas which need to be added in red : strDialNumbers = now()&", $RV[QueryTech_1_1], 0, 0, C:\Program Files\ivg\system\voice\AcceptAutoCall.wav, C:\Program Files\ivg\Scripts\Support2\Voicemail Server.vgs, , , $RV[QueryTech_2_1], 0, 0, C:\Program Files\ivg\system\voice\AcceptAutoCall.wav, C:\Program Files\ivg\Scripts\Support2\Voicemail Server.vgs, , , $RV[QueryTech_3_1], 0, 0, C:\Program Files\ivg\system\voice\AcceptAutoCall.wav, C:\Program Files\ivg\Scripts\Support2\Voicemail Server.vgs, ," Another way to create this escalation call is to just use the "Send Phone Message" module - have you tried using that module? The updated section of the Help from Beta6 reads: The ‘Out Dial’ file can also be used to add new telephone numbers to be dialed by VoiceGuide. When the file is created, VoiceGuide will read in the file and delete it after reading it's contents. ‘Out Dial’ file should be created in VoiceGuide's \data directory, and be called OutDial_New.txt The ‘Out Dial’ file syntax is: strCallTime, strPhoneNumber, iDialRetries, iDelay, strAnnouce, strOnHuman, strOnAM, strRV[, (OutDialEntry)] Square brackets indicate optional fields and OutDialEntry indicates that alterative contact details can be specified. Where: strCallTime Time the call is to be made. Format is "hh:nn AMPM dd/mm/yy". eg: "10:30 AM 20/05/00" would mean: Make the call on 20th May 2000, at 10:30am. If the date/time is the current one or has passed then the calls will commence immediately. strPhoneNumber The phone number which the system has to dial. The telephone number should always have quotes (") surrounding it. iDialRetries How many times VoiceGuide will re-dial the phone number, before abandoning trying to contact this number. If iDialRetries is set to 0 then only one call will be made. iDelay How many minutes VoiceGuide will wait between successive attempts (if iDialRetries is set to 1 or more). strAnnouce The sound file which will be played asking the recipient to accept the call if we are using a Voice modem to place calls. If omitted then VoiceGuide's default sound file will be used. If the word none is specified, then no file will be played, and the strOnHuman setting will be started immediately. The full path to this sound file must be specified. strOnHuman VoiceGuide script or sound file which will be used when the call is answered by a real person (or when a key is pressed by a person accepting the call if a Voice modem is used and we are playing strAnnouce). The full path to this script or sound file must be specified. strOnAM VoiceGuide script or sound file which will be used when the call is answered by an answering machine. The full path to this sound file or script must be specified. strRV List of custom Result variables which can be used by the VoiceGuide script above. The format of this field is [RvName]{RvValue}. Multiple Result variables can be specified by listing the name-value pairs as needed. Example 1 : in this example strOnAm and strRv are left blank (note how there are two commas on the end of the line) : 9:30 AM 28/04/00, "5553423", 3, 20, d:\Sound Files\welcome1.wav, d:\scripts\statequery.vgs, , Example 2 : strRv left blank (note we still must have a comma on the end) : 12:30 PM 30/05/01, "05625553424", 3, 20, none, d:\scripts\salespitch.vgs, d:\scripts\answeringmachinemsg.wav, Example 3 : strRv is used to customize the call : 6:30 PM 30/03/01, "05625553424", 1, 10, none, d:\scripts\weekly_specials.vgs, d:\scripts\weekly_specials.vgs, [ClientID]{123456}[PriceWidget]{125}[PriceDelivery]{7.50} To schedule a call to a numeric pager the same format is used, except the code "DIAL_PAGER_NUMERIC" must be used in the strScript field. The pager message is then specified in the strRV field. In the pager message commas can be used to specify short pauses. Example 4 : 05:34 PM 19/11/00, "5625551234", 3, 2, NONE, DIAL_PAGER_NUMERIC, , ,12345567890 Alternative Contact Telephone Numbers In case VoiceGuide is unable to contact anybody at the first phone number supplied, alternative phone numbers and scripts can be specified. This is useful if: A person you want to contact can be under different numbers. Problem escalation situations, where if one person is unavailable then further people will be called until one of the people on the list answers the call. The format of a single line in the OutDial_New.txt file can be extended by appending further destinations to the end of the line. Further destinations are in format: strPhoneNumberX, iDialRetriesX, iDelayX, strAnnouceX, strScriptHumanX, strScriptAmX, strResultVariablesX Therefore the syntax for a OutDial_New.txt file entry which specifies 2 alternative contact telephone numbers would be (all on one line): strCallTime, strPhoneNumber, iDialRetries, iDelay, strAnnouce, strScriptHuman, strScriptAm, strRV, strPhoneNumber2, iDialRetries2, iDelay2, strAnnouce2, strScript2, strScriptAm2, strRV2, strPhoneNumber3, iDialRetries3, iDelay3, strAnnouce3, strScript3, strScriptAm3, strRV3 An unlimited number of alternative destinations can be appended. Example 5 : Problem escalation. An on-call technician needs to be called and alerted of a problem. If the on-call technician cannot be contacted in 15 minutes then the call is escalated to a supervisor, and if they cannot answer within 20 minutes then a manager is called. The manager is called every 10 minutes for half an hour. Technicians phone number: 5551111 Supervisors phone number: 5552222 Managers phone number: 5553333 In this example 2 Result Variables are supplied for use by the outgoing scripts. 9:30 PM 30/03/01, "5551111", 3, 5, d:\AskToAccept.wav, d:\EscalateLvl_1.vgs, d:\EscalateLvl_1.vgs, [ProblemID]{0034}[ProblemType]{72}, "5552222", 4, 5, d:\AskToAccept.wav, d:\EscalateLvl_2.vgs, d:\EscalateLvl_2.vgs, [ProblemID]{0034}[ProblemType]{72}, "5553333", 3, 10, d:\AskToAccept.wav, d:\EscalateLvl_3.vgs, d:\EscalateLvl_3.vgs, [ProblemID]{0034}[ProblemType]{72} Each entry in the OutDial_New.txt must be on a single line - the example above is shown as multiple lines only so that we may be able to fit all the information on one screen. SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/26/2003 02:30 AM We can see in the trace: 113024.16 0 dial callque insert tel:"136" scr:C:\Program Files\ivg\Scripts\Support2\Voicemail Server.vgs which means that the next number to be called was queued - and you should be able to see this entry in the OutDialQue.mdb database. (see VG's \data\ subdirectory) I was told that maybe there is a date/time conversion issue on your PC which results in the new call not being dialed immediately (to which country is the location set to?) Please update your Beta6 install with the attached vgmulti.exe, run the test again and post the trace. This new .exe will insert the escalation call into the database with a "0" starting time - not the current date/time - this should avoid any problems with the conversion between different date/time format. SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/29/2003 02:52 PM Could you please email us the file which gives you problems: "C:\Programme\VoiceGuide\system\tts12.wav" I notice that the TTS engine to use was not specified in the TTS string and two different languages were typed in one after another - which TTS engine was set to be the default one? Can you try playing some files from VoiceGuide's \system\voicedlgc\ directory? - just to confirm that WAV drivers are functioning OK... Share this post Link to post
