mmckenna_itpro Report post Posted 06/06/2006 09:30 PM Hi, I am running VG ver 5.2.1027, Enterprise, VG dialer, single line, using a Dialogic D/4PCI card. I keep seeing references in the support forum to 'VG for Dialogic'. Do I need to upgrade or change to this revision of software? Will it affect my current system? Will it improve reliability or ease of use? Thanks, Mike. Mike McKenna Process Automation REP Lorain Share this post Link to post
fluffybunny Report post Posted 06/07/2006 08:54 AM Hi Mike, Yes, use VG for dialogic. Follow the readme.txt file that comes with the download of VG for Dialogic to install it. One anomaly is that you install standard VG first but DONT select the Dialogic install option, select the TAPI option. This forces VG to install the right voice files. Then go through the VG for Dialogic install and everything will work fine plus you have all the neat Dialogic specific features in VG Share this post Link to post
CSI Report post Posted 06/09/2006 11:20 AM Yes, but if you have custom sound files recorded for the 5.x version of Dialogic, they will not work with VG for Dialogic. Or so I've been led to believe. This is a major hurdle for me, as I have thousands of custom wavs already in production. Share this post Link to post
