Guest Chris Report post Posted 07/17/2003 03:08 PM This is unfamiliar turf to me. The software looks good. I know I also need to buy phones and hook this all up, but I don't have a clue about what I am to do. Can anyone give me an overview of telephone systems, how they connect to the computer, etc or point me to a good newbie website on the subject? Thanks Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/18/2003 01:55 AM If you just need an IVR system then all that is required is an Analog Dialogic card (eg D4PCI) and a PC with Windows 2000 on it... Please see our "Recommended Hardware" page for information where you can purchase Dialogic cards. Will you need a PBX as well? If so then I'd recommend speaking to your local PBX seller - they can best recommend a system that will suit your needs. Share this post Link to post
Guest Reilly Report post Posted 07/21/2003 01:15 AM Hi there... Good luck finding anything on the net. Here is a site I found some time ago, and it touches on the PBX architecture and a little about how it works, but to really get to know this technology, you gotta work in telecom, or have a couple 100K sitting around to buy a DMS or G3. Good luck!! http://www.soho-telecom.com/phone-systems/...-pbx-works.html Reilly Share this post Link to post
