Problem With Windows 98 Se

Recommended Posts

I try to use VG with windows 98 SE bat when a script "use" a VBS module (e.g. the VBS module inside the script to retrive message in voicemail system) VG don't go on. I have tried to set to "do not wait for VB script to complete" and in this mode VG go on but the system tell me always "there are no message" also when there is new message.

Can you help me?

Maybe you have the system blocking execution of VBScript files? Do you have anti-virus software (eg Norton) installed on this machine.

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what happened.

When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.

You can enable the automatic saving of the logs to files in \log\ directory as well.

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

I have tried to install VoiceGuide in another computer with Win98SE but without antivirus and all is work well!!! The voice is good and my voice mail system is fast.

My voice modem is Atlantis Land Web Runner USB mod. A01-PU1 (when installed the name is Smart Link USB 56K). I have tried to use VoiceGuide and this modem with WinXP and WinME but when the system play a sound file and a caller press a key the sound file do not immediately stop. System go to the next step when the sound file is finsh to play.

Thanks for the support

Good to hear it's working now. Note that Antivirus programs can usually have the script blocking feature turned off if desired.

Some modems have this problem. You wiull need to either change the modem you are using or better yet just get a Dialogic card.
