Vg Reboots The System When A Call Arrives

Hi,

I just downloaded and installed VG on my test system: WinXP+Motorola SM56 speakerphone PCI internal modem.

I started suggested script - Scripts/Credit Card Payment. When a call arrives VG reboots my system.

I created a new script just to run an app - notepad. VG launched noteped and rebooted the system.

I created a script just to play a standard wav file from windows\media folder. I could hear just trrrr instead of wav file when I called my system from another phone.

 

I have VentaFax software installed on my system, message playing/receiving is working fine.

What else can I try.

Problems like blue screen and computer rebots etc. are caused at driver level. Applications just do not run at a priviledge level high enough to be able to cause such problems.

 

See if there is an updated version of drivers for your modem, or try using a different modem - or better yet, get a Dialogic card.

 

Possible reason why other software may work is that it does not use the modem's TAPI/Wave drives at all (just like v2.9 of VG does not use TAPI) or uses them in a different way...
