sivan Report post Posted 08/08/2006 09:15 PM hi, i'm trying out a script i wrote but i seem to have a problem with the program. a. after one module (which the first one performs great) the program doesnt recognize the number i'm pressing on the phone (i'm presing 5 and it recognizes 9) and then gets stuck for two rounds on the module, then hangs up the call. b. the voice the program sounds on the phone sounds distorted and not understood. i'm wondwering if these problems accure because this is the evaluation version and this is to protect the program? and if i'll buy it every thing is supposed to work smoothly? can you help me please.. thank you Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/08/2006 09:23 PM i'm presing 5 and it recognizes 9 Are you using a voice modem? Some modems have poor DTMF tone detection. b. the voice the program sounds on the phone sounds distorted and not understood. Again, some modems have poor sound quality... Your options are to get another modem (see: http://voiceguide.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=135 ) or (better) get a Dialogic card (see: http://www.voiceguide.com/suppRecomHardware.htm ) Share this post Link to post
sivan Report post Posted 08/09/2006 08:08 PM i have two things to ask- first, but on the first module the modem allways gets the first number right and only the second time is misunderstood. if the modem was the problem wont it mis- translate all the numbers wrong or at least wont be so consistent with its mistakes? second, what would you recomend me to buy in order to get the best use of voice guide in a small buisnes? i looked at the lists of modems but it was very confusing (and also the list of dialogic cards), i dont really understand about these things. i need something to get start with that would be affortable and will surely work proparlly. thank you again Share this post Link to post

Don't know what's happening there. Maybe it has to do with the sound file played by the second module. Get a Dialogic card and you'll see the difference. what would you recommend me to buy in order to get the best use of voice guide in a small business? Dialogic card eg: D/4PCIU is the entry level card - it has 4 analog ports to allow you to handle up to 4 telephone lines at the same time. (There are no 1 or 2 port Dialogic cards, 4 is the smallest) Share this post Link to post
