Enterprise 1 Line + Dialer

hi, I'm trying to determine which version to purchase.

 

Can you tell me if Im correct in my following statement:

 

If i get the enterprise 1 line + dialer

does that mean when a caller leaves me a message in my voiceguide voicemail,

voiceguide can then call my personal cell phone and play that message back to me?

 

and if so, what if i dont answer my cell, will voiceguide know to wait until my cells message finishes before playing the message?

btw - im getting voiceguide to call my cell, but if i dont answer I have two problems:

 

(1) it just repeats "this is voiceguide..... " over & over again (which ties up the single line i have).

(2) It pauses but then dials my cell again until i actually answer it.

(1) can i set how many times it says "this is the voiceguide...." loop?

and (2) can i set it to onl;y call ONCE regardless wether or not i answer the phone?

Yes. The Dialer option will enable VoiceGuide to make outgoing calls to deliver the message.

You will need a Dialogic card to do this. A Dialoigc card can (fairly reliably) detect if a call has been answered by live person or by an answering machine, and VoiceGuide will just play the voicemail message after the answering machine's welcoming message is finished.

Sounds like you are not using a Dialogic card, and the device used is unable to detect that the destination telephone number is busy. You can configure the Dialogic card to detect busy tones used by your telephone company so the system can react immediately if the destination number is busy.

Look in the [Voicemail] section of VG.INI file. You will be able to set the answer timeot, retries, time between retries, etc. there.
