SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/22/2006 08:58 PM First of all let me congratulate the team of VoiceGuide for developing a completely unimaginable software. Thanks My problem is that "THERE IS NO DIAL TONE" when i click on "Start Dialing" in the Telephone Numbers Loader. This must be the message that the voice modem returns when the outgoing call is attempted, correct? Many voice modem's tone detection is poor - and looks like this one is even incapable of detecting the dial tone played on the line by the phone company (assuming there is one played). If doing outgoing calls you are best off to get a Dialogic card. A Dialogic card can make a pretty good guess at when the outgoing call is answered as well, which does make the whole system work a lot better. Share this post Link to post
Guest ishgoel_force Report post Posted 08/23/2006 10:24 AM hi again...... This must be the message that the voice modem returns when the outgoing call is attempted, correct? No....that is not the message which comes when I attempt dialing. Rather there is no message which comes. I am tryin to call a mobile no.(i am india) and have prefixed 0 before it. The problem is that when i click on 'Start Dialing' there's some wierd sound from the Modem................. then suddenly it stops and again is says "Waiting for a Call". (i thought there was no dial tone coz it didnt seem to dial the number Can u tell me if there is some fault in my settings of Telephone Loader.............. or any other problems...... If doing outgoing calls you are best off to get a Dialogic card. i am a student of 11th standard in skool...... and i cant afford a dialogic card as of now........... moreover ..........ALL OTHER THINGS ARE RUNNING WELL WITH THE MODEM. Kindly help me......... ish Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/23/2006 09:34 PM there's some wierd sound from the Modem Whatever is happening here it does not sound right... we can go and spend time looking through traces and try to see if there is any indication in them that the modem is reacting in unusual way, but ultimately if it does not work there is probably not much that can be done about it... The only solution usually is to just try another modem. Share this post Link to post
