Hook Flash Doesn't Work Dialogc D/41jct-ls Sr 6.0 Build 61 Vg 6.0.

Hook flash doesn't work dialogc d/41jct-ls SR 6.0 build 61 VG 6.0.3141

PABX from Ericsson, dialogic ountry settings belgium.

I tried values from 70 to 150 in the xml conf file. No change.

I ask blind transfert, supervised transfert, no use. The board hang down the line and dial the extension instead of putting the call on hold.

With an analog phone connect instead of the board I can flash and dial and the call is on hod.

Even if I put 5 or 25 in the config file I get a handµg down.

What's wrong doc ?

The config xml file's hookflash timing is in 10ms units (it should say so in the comments in the file) so to get the system to do a 100ms hookflash the value in the config file should be 10.

What length hookflash does your PBX expect?

Try values between 8 and 12.

VoiceGuide needs to be restarted to read in the new settings.

If you still cannot get it working then set the hookflash config setting to value of 10 (equates to 100ms) and enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below:

[Log]

VoiceGuide=10

NumberLoader=0

VoicemailManager=0

EmailSender=0

TapiWrapOcx=10

SapiWrapOcx=0

Then restart VG and make a test call which demonstrates the problem.

Debug Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory.

Please post the traces.

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

70 to 150 is in ms not the value in the config file

I used 7 8 9 10 12 15 20 as value.

It looks like the ! for the hookflash is not understood by the hardware.

PABS needs 100 ms so default value of 10 is right.

Another idea ?

! is what is used to send the hookflash signal.

As you can see the board hangup the call when it is issuing a hookflash then it looks like your PBX thinks the card is sending a hookflash that is too long.

You can use a Play module to just send a hookflash, just type the exclamation mark in the text box where the sound filename is specified. (You can also play DTMF tones in the Play module)

Traces show that the Config.xml (where you have been setting the hookflash length value) and ConfigLine.xml files are not being read in properly.

Please .ZIP up and post the Config.xml and ConfigLine.xml files from your system.

The trace also shows that the Dialogic card does the hookflash for about half a second:

162158.437 001 dx_dial(1,&) ok

162159.093 001 ev TDX_DIAL (Dial Completed)

That is long enough for some PBX systems for them to hangup the call.

Half a second is the default hookflash time the Dialogic driver config files are set to. You can change this directly in the appropriate .PRM file for your card. ( See: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/Dial...llTransfers.htm ) but getting the Config.xml and ConfigLine.xml files to be read in properly and have VoiceGuide set the values from them should be the priority.

Looks like there was a bug introduced in v6.0.3140 which was preventing the hookflash setting and other 'board' settings in Config.xml from being read in.

v6.0.3155 (just made available for download) fixes that bug.
