E1 Loopback Test Failed

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am trying to install Intel Dialogic Card D/300JCT-E1 in a PC with Windows 2000 Server SP2.

I am using System Release 5.1.1 (with no Service Packs / Feature Packs).

When running the UDD (Universal Dialogic Diagnosis) Tool, I get the following error:

__________________

Product: D/300JCT-E1, name: ID=0 (baseboard) #FX028864, Id: 00H

E1 Loopback Test.....

***** FAILED *****

Testing completed.

``````````````````
I also I get some error while loading the UDD Tool (see diagram attached)
Please note that I have not connect the E1 interface to any other interface yet!
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin
E1 Loopback Test.....
***** FAILED *****
Loopback Test will fail if you have not installed a loopback connector in the E1 port.
Did you install a loopback connector in the E1 port?
Regarding the other tests you should contact the Dialogic distributor from where you've purchased the card, but note that UDD is known for showing up errors which are not relevant to the card tested or are just plain incorrect.
Thanks for the reply.
I did not use an E1 loopback connector for the Loopback Test.
I will to connect the Dialogic cards to my Nortel Meridian 1 PBX using ISDN PRI cards. The cards have already been configure in the PBX as slave and is using Euro Sig. What are the configuration/protocols required on the card.
CTR4 is the ISDN protocol setting which should be used if the protocol is "EuroISDN" and you want the system to act in "User Mode".
NE1 is the ISDN protocol setting which should be used if the protocol is "EuroISDN" and you want the system to act in "Network Mode".
Sounds like the PBX is set to act in "User Mode", so the Dialogic end should be "Network Mode", so you should select NE1 as the protocol.
The protocol settings are made in the Dialogic Configuration Manager (DCM). VoiceGuide's Config.xml Protocol setting should just be set to "ISDN" like this:
<Protocol>ISDN</Protocol>
See the example Config.xml settings provided.
NB. The current version of VoiceGuide for Dialogic can handle up to 30 lines in Evaluation mode, allowing you to control an entire E1 in Evaluation mode.
