spookydodger Report post Posted 09/17/2006 09:04 AM I am trying to get VoiceGuide to start up with a particular script. I have tried editing the default script, and individual TAPI device scripts, but it still keeps playing that default script "please enter your client ID..." when I call. In fact, it doesn't seem to be paying attention to any of the changes I make to the config. If I change the number of rings to answer to 3, it still picks up after 1. I've changed it while voiceguide was closed and then started voiceguide, but it still ignores what I have put in there. (And yes, I remembered to save the file! ) Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/17/2006 09:12 AM Which version of VoiceGuide are you using? Have you double checked that you are editing the correct configuration files? Enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below: [Log] VoiceGuide=10 NumberLoader=0 VoicemailManager=0 EmailSender=0 TapiWrapOcx=0 SapiWrapOcx=0 Then restart VG and make a test call. Debug Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory. Please post the traces and the VoiceGuide script used, as well as the VG.INI file When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments. Share this post Link to post

spookydodger Report post Posted 09/17/2006 10:17 AM Yeah, turns out that at some point a copy of the voiceguide program was made and I was editing the wrong copy. Serves me right for working on things past midnight. Finally realized that the copy I was editing was C:\Voiceguide\... and the copy that the shortcut was running was C:\Program Files\Voiceguide\... Was starting to lose my mind. Even removed every other script and it was still playing it. Then my sleep addled mind noticed that the other scripts were still showing up when I went to manually load the script. So, sorry! Wish there was a way to delete my own threads.
