bwenzel@cleartel.com Report post Posted 10/12/2006 02:08 PM Voiceguide, We currently have in our server 2 DMV480A-2T1 cards running 4 pris with 92 total lines. Will voiceguide be able to handle another 4 Dialogic Cards bringing the total to 12 pris "276 lines"? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/13/2006 12:21 AM VoiceGuide can handle 300 lines on a server, but in real life other factors start coming into play which usually result in system admins deciding that it's better to split that many lines across separate servers. It all depends on what CPU load the scripts (and databases) handling the calls are placing on the system. If the scripts handling the calls do not place much of a load and you would be comfortable with having the CPU load on this system tripled from your current levels then there is nothing stopping you from going ahead with attaching all 12 T1 ISDN lines to one server. What type of application is the IVR system running? Is there much database interaction involved? It's the database interactions that usually take up a large slice of CPU time. We'd probably recommend that max CPU load on system doesn't average over about 50%. And if you want to give yourself the flexibility of turning the vgm and tw logging on then you should keep systems running at an even lower average CPU usage as turning that logging on pretty much doubles the CPU usage... PS. The VBScript/RV question posted in this thread was split into a separate topic thread. It can be found here: http://voiceguide.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4363 Share this post Link to post
