Guest Diana Report post Posted 11/14/2006 04:15 PM Hi voiceguide team, I have a question regarding your software. I see that if you install the vg software is is making directories on the c drive. I would like to know from which folder in the voiceguide folder I should make a backup every day. The C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\Scripts directory does not change. The directories: C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\System and C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\Data have impotant files. question: Which directory should be backed up? Which backup software you can use with voiceguide? Thank you Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/15/2006 12:24 AM You should be backing up your scripts and sound files and the VG's \data\ subdirectory. The System subdirectory can be re-created by re-installing VG. Any backup software is fine... Share this post Link to post

Guest Diana Report post Posted 11/23/2006 06:44 PM Hi voiceguide team, In the TEMP folder you have some visual basic files like: vbs_4_SayNumberA.vbs vbs_4_SayNumberB.vbs Do I have to care if I don't backup the Temp folder? Do VG use these files? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/23/2006 09:48 PM No need to backup the Temp folder. Temp folder is used to hold Temporary files. Temp folder is cleaned by VG regularly and VG deletes files in that folder which are more the 1 hour old (or 24 hours depending on setting). Share this post Link to post
