Vg Is Jumping Unexpected Into Another Module

Hello Support Team,

 

I have never use this forum frequently as before. The reason is: "I am using now Voice Guide for Dialogic"

 

1) Is there a version of VG for Dialogic which has all patches that are needed to run your ivr system smooth?

 

When I am dialing in to the ivr system you can hear a welcome message.

Press 1 to bla bla bla (then you can leave a message after you pressed a key)

Press 2 to blo blo blo

A Timeout of x sec is going to transfer you

 

I noticed that when I am dialing in to the system some times, some words are skipped. I cannot hear "Welcome, you are now ......." In stead of that I am hearing "you are now......."

Some times the system is going into an other module without pressing a key.

 

2) What is the meaning of this?

Is this a bug in Voice Guide for Dialogic? Is this some settings in Vg.ini?

 

Can you help me with this problem?

We have never seen or had anyone report such problems with playback on VG for Dialogic. Please supply traces capturing the call on which this happened and indicate on which prompt this happened.

Such jumps would usually be caused by the telephony card mistakenly detecting a DTMF tone during playback/recording, but Dialogic cards don't really experience such false detections.

 

Which Dialogic card are you using?

I will try to capture that, but it will be a large logfile.

Now I am not experience this problem but when it's happening again I will send you the log file.

Maybe the problem solved after replacing the VgMulti.exe (2 times) but when I experience it again I will send the trace log.

These types of problems are always caused by some part of a sound file being mistaken as a DTMF tone - which then results in a path being taken.

 

Such 'False DTMF' detections do not really happen with Dialogic cards though...
