Line 2 Not Answering

Recommended Posts

With VG for Dialogic 6.0.3179 line two is currently not answering and the VoiceGuide display is showing "State display disabled" for all lines. Line 1 is answering and working fine, but line 2 setup seemingly the same does not answer or create a log file to give us a clue as to why.

We are using the sample config.xml file for the 16 port DMV160LS card though we do have the DMV160LP.

Can you point us in the right direction.

Thanks.

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Trace Logs which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what happened.

Enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below:

[Log]

VoiceGuide=10

NumberLoader=0

VoicemailManager=0

EmailSender=0

TapiWrapOcx=10

SapiWrapOcx=0

Then restart VG and make a test call which demonstrates the problem.

Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory.

Please post the traces.

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

Log files attached. We also tried plugging the line directly into a phone and confirmed that it is ringing correctly.

We had a quick look in the log file and it appears that the system is seeing line 1 as line 4? But line 2 does not appear in the log file as it never answers.

Thanks.

Further testing has revealed that every second port in the card is working so we believe this may be a cabling issue.

However do you have a solution for the "State display disabled" message as outlined earlier.

Thanks.

Refer to the 'Quick Install' quide for the DMV160LP whch came with the card for cabling instructions. The RJ connectors on the DMV160LP card can take two (up to three?) lines.

The two centre cable connectors take one port, then connectors on the 'outside' of them carry signal for another line.
