kviar Report post Posted 01/04/2007 06:56 PM Hi We have voiceguide installed with a dialogic ISA card attached to a very simple PBX. We only have 1 analog phone to the local telco. Voiceguide has 2 line licenses. We'd like to record the received calls but we are having trouble: if we choose "simple pbx transfer" it does not record. If we choose 3 way conference call it hangs up. As far as I know, we need to choose the 3 way conference call for this to work, but for that it requires 2 lines. It means 2 phone lines? 2 pbx lines? 2 lines configured in voiceguide? Thanks! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/04/2007 10:20 PM "3 way conference" does not require 2 lines. The second call is made on the same line after putting original call 'on-hold'. Does your PBX supports "3 way conference" options? Most PBXs don't. This feature is only supported by some telephone companies' switches. Share this post Link to post
kviar Report post Posted 01/05/2007 12:59 PM Most likely our really simple PBX does not support conference. Is it possible to record using another method than conference? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/05/2007 10:26 PM You'll need to use "Dial and Conference" type transfer - which uses two lines - and then record the conversation done across those two lines. Use the Record module to record the conversation - see bottom of Help file entry on the Record module : http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/modRecord.htm Share this post Link to post
fluffybunny Report post Posted 01/06/2007 11:45 AM I'd check to make sure your PBX doesent support conference. If you are in the UK most pbx, even small ones, support conference, but you will need to know the code to dial to activate it. What pbx do you have? Share this post Link to post
kviar Report post Posted 01/07/2007 06:13 AM Yes, that was actually my original question: what does 2 lines mean? 2 pbx lines? 2 lines configured in voiceguide? 2 lines in the phone company? Share this post Link to post
