normbuddy Report post Posted 01/05/2007 07:17 PM Hi, I plan to setup an Interactive voice system with voiceguide. I need to be able to receive and process the callerID of the callers when the phone line is busy. Can you tell me if Voiceguide can do this and give me some advices about the hardware I could use to do this ? I am located in North America and I plan to use 2 BRI channels (128kb/sec, ISDN lines) with : Eicon ISDN NT1, part # 300-095 http://www.eicon.com/us/products/ISDN/ISDN_NT1.htm And one of the 3 following products (please help me choose among those) : Eicon Diva ISDN PCI, (Standard ISDN Card), Part # 305-189 http://www.eicon.com/us/products/ISDN/DIVA_ISDN.htm Eicon Diva Server BRI 2M, part # 306-165 http://www.eicon.com/us/products/MediaGate...DIVA_BRI_2M.htm Eicon Diva PRO ISDN PCI, (ISDN Interface Card for Professional), part# 305-193 http://www.eicon.com/us/products/ISDN/DIVA_PRO.htm Is there other good options ? Thank you, Normand Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/05/2007 10:43 PM Out of the cards listed above you should be using: Diva Server BRI 2M, part # 306-165 You may be able to get that card working directly with VoiceGuide v5.x without the use ComISDN as the Diva Server BRI 2M comes with TAPI and Wave drivers. Search for Eicon and Diva throughout this forum for other users' comments on these cards. We'd recommend getting a fractional T1 (a T1 with 8 channels enabled) and using a Dialogic D240JCT card - it's more expensive but you get a fully featured platform this way and can use VG for Dialogic - which is superior to v5.x of VG.
