Guest Hugh Report post Posted 08/01/2003 10:20 AM Having almost completed an application using the Dialogic D4/PCI card to produce a call answering system across standard telephone system, our next phase is to automate outgoing calls across the mobile network. Is there an equivalent type of board to the D4/PCI which interfaces to mobile GSM networks? 2nd question: Is it possible to automate outgoing calls using VG, ie every minute check a database to see if a call is required, then make an outgoing call (initially using D4/PCI, but later to hopefully interface to GSM) Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/01/2003 10:30 AM 1. Can't you just place calls to the mobile phones through the lines that are already plugged into the D4PCI? Just like a normal call... 2. Please see: http://katalinatech.com/forums/index.php?a...ct=ST&f=2&t=449 Share this post Link to post
Guest Hugh Report post Posted 08/01/2003 02:11 PM 1. Yes it is possible, but the application here will service a high call volume and therefore cost of calls becomes the major factor. If the calls are placed on the gsm network to a phone number on the same network, the cost is significantly lower than routing from landbased to mobile. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/02/2003 12:47 AM At this stage I do not know of any cards that can place a call directly in GSM. (If you find any plz let us know and I'll see if VoiceGuide can work with them) Share this post Link to post
