Jeffa Report post Posted 01/24/2007 08:54 PM I have a voiceover MP3 file that was done at 11,025 Hz, 16 bit, Mono and need to convert it to 8000 Hz, 8 bit mono so I can use it with my Dialogic card. Does anyone know an way to convert it properly so it does not sound like crap? Each time I have tried, using Sound Forge and Adobe Audition 2, hiss is added so bad, I can not use the file. Without the conversion, the dialogic card plays the file in S-L-O-W motion, you know what I mean. I know going down to this lower range is problamatic, so I was curious if anyone had a good step by step solution that has worked for them. Thanks Jeff Share this post Link to post

Jeffa Report post Posted 01/25/2007 04:05 PM My problem is not the source files, they are recorded at 44KHz. The problem is the conversion to 8 bit adds all the hiss. I can convert from 44 KHz to 8000 KHz easily. However, as soon as I change the file to 8 bits, the sound on the dialogic card is S-L-O-W Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/25/2007 06:58 PM The .WAV sound file needs to be 8kHz. It will play 'slow' if it's more then 8kHz. Share this post Link to post
