Guest hogi Report post Posted 03/17/2007 02:34 AM If we buy version 6.xyz today- are we entitled to free updates/patches for all future versions of "VG 6 for Dialogic"? We don't want to purchase an "old" version today if you are going to release a new version shortly. When is the next major release scheduled for release to the public? What are the new features (compared to Version 6)? The reason is that we don't need to "go-live" for several months so we can wait but if we get free updates/patches/service packs etc. we might just as well buy now. Have you done any stress tests with dialing out on ~100 lines constantly? Any performance problems? Do you have any "100+ lines" clients/references? Thanks, HOGI Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/17/2007 05:04 AM If we buy version 6.xyz today- are we entitled to free updates/patches for all future versions of "VG 6 for Dialogic"?Yes. Updates to the latest release of the same version type have always been provided free since our company started in 1996. All that is required is to download the latest release from our WWW - the issued registration code works for all new releases of the same version type. When is the next major release scheduled for release to the public?New updates get released every 3 months on average. Have you done any stress tests with dialing out on ~100 lines constantly?Yes. We regularly run tests on 120 line (4 E1), and 180 line (6 E1). We have customers who are running live 192 line systems (8 T1). Practical system capacity with 100+ line systems is more determined on what other systems the script ran by the system will be using. eg: If the script is using a database you have to make sure that the database can process 30-40+ simultaneous queries and respond to each one of them in a timely fashion. The downloadable evaluation version of VoiceGuide lets you run up to 30 lines - this is usually enough for most people to evaluate how the system operates with 30 lines and extrapolate the CPU/Disk/etc usage found when 30 lines are operational to larger systems. You should contact sales@voiceguide.com for references. It should be possible to provide you with a 120 line evaluation version so you will be able to see the system work on your servers in your environment yourself before proceeding with purchase. Contact sales@voiceguide.com regarding that as well. Share this post Link to post
