Guest macoasis Report post Posted 03/17/2007 04:09 PM In your opinion is it safe to install and run a test of VG on a Win98 system that has an older custom IVR app on it. It currently uses a Dialogic ProLine/2V card, dialogic dev pack 3.01 and VISUAL VOICE 5.0. Will this require an upgrade to the Dialogic 5.1.1 and what are the potential negative impacts to doing so? Thanks - Greg from Montana Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/17/2007 09:20 PM You can install VoiceGuide on the system without removing the other software. You would be able to start one or the other software, but not at the same time. Will this require an upgrade to the Dialogic 5.1.1VoiceGuide is not certified to run with Dialogic's v3.x drivers. You can try, but operation is not guaranteed. We'd recommend installing v5.1.1 drivers. Share this post Link to post
Guest macoasis Report post Posted 03/18/2007 01:00 AM In your experience, is there full backward compatibility going from v3.x drivers to Dialogic 5.1.1 drivers? I have deep concern that the current system not be rendered inoperable because of this. Your thoughts? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/18/2007 01:25 AM You would have to contact supplier of your previous system to see if their software works with the alter Dialogic System Release drivers. It's probably best for you to just uninstall v5.1.1 drives and try. If there are any issues then just uninstall v5..1.1 drivers and install v3 again. Share this post Link to post
