We have purchased VG and have it running on our server in a controlled temperature room (quite cool) as it is very uncomfortable to work in this room when developing is it possible to develop scripts on a workstation then upload them to the server when complete ?

Yes.

The script designer in the free trial version of VoiceGuide does not place any limitations on the size of script you can design.

To install the s/w on a workstation for script design purposes only do I need to create a dummy modem ?

 

When I install the s/f iw reports an error with a self reigstration of TapiWrap.OCX when I uninstall and reinstall I receive the same error.

If there is no Dialogic card present then the "Modem/TAPI" option should be selected during install - the note about TAPIWRAP.OCX can be seen on the installation screen.

 

Only select the "Dialogic Install" option if there is a Dialogic card present - otherwise the software cannot find some DLLs and the error you see will appear.
