Guest davclark Report post Posted 04/07/2007 07:06 PM Hello, I'm looking at VoiceGuide software with a Dialogic D/4PCI card. I'm really not sure what all I will need to accomplish my objectives, and I thought I would ask the members here. What I want to start off with is to have my business line answered with a greeting and maybe 4 options. 2 of the options would lead to other pre-recorded messages, the third would go to a voice-mailbox. The 4th option would connect the call to ring through on my regular telephone. I'm pretty sure VoiceGuide software and the Dialogic card can accomplish all these things easily, but I think I may need a PBX or some other type of telephone equipment to allow the call to be forwarded on and ring through on my regular business phone. Can anyone advise me on the minimum equipment I would need? I've only got one phone line, and my budget is small, but if I need to invest a bit more for some additional equipment, I'll manage. Thanks for any pointers, Dave Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/07/2007 10:29 PM You will need a basic PBX to be able to transfer calls. Any cheap PBX will do. You may want lo look at a second-hand Panasonic, or whichever one is popular in your area. Attach the Dialogic card to an analog extension on the PBX and setup the PBX to route all incoming calls to that extension. This will make VoiceGuid answer all the calls first and run callers through the script which you designed. If you need to transfer caller to speak to a person then you can transfer call to other extensions using hookflash transfers. Share this post Link to post
