Guest Bank Transactions2 Report post Posted 04/25/2007 06:35 PM Can you guys recommend a dialer card, analog or digital that will allow more flexibility with our auto dialing campaigns? Right now we have a dialogic 120 j. When we hit answering message/ machines, it seems our current card does not recognize the message and the pause or beep? Are their any cards and setting which will allow our campaine to be more sucessful at detecting answering machines or even voice mail systems etc? Thanks! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/26/2007 12:13 AM It's best to use T1/E1 ISDN lines, as then the telephone company will signal over the ISDN communications link when the rung number is answered. This means that there is no need to specify the ringback tones. Reliability of distinguishing between an Answering Machine and a Human answer is a the same across the entire card range - the same protocol is used. Maybe the recognition accuracy has been improved in the later cards and drivers - we don't know as Dialogic do not disclose this information. Looking at the call traces will let you see whether the Dialogic card reported an answering machine or not. If the Dialogic card detected an answering machine then VoiceGuide will wait until after the answering machine's message is finished before starting playing the "Answering Machine" script or sound file.
