Threer Report post Posted 05/14/2007 10:53 PM Hello there, We have downloaded and installed VG for Dialogic (not licenced yet). There is a Dialogic board (D600SC with SR 5.1.1 SP1 drivers) with an E1 line on the machine. We have now routed a DDI to the VoiceGuide system. However, VoiceGuide does not seem to be detecting or answering the call. When we run one of our test applications, it does detect and answer, but VoiceGuide does not. VG shows "Waiting for call" on the lines but when a call comes in it does not pick it up. When we try to run the Configuration Wizard, it says "Configuration Wizard is not used in VG for Dialogic. Please edit the Config.xml and ConfigLine.xml files in \data\ subdirectory directly." What seems to be wrong please ? Your urgent response would be much appreciated. SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/14/2007 11:13 PM Have you set the Config.xml ? The default Config.xml which is installed is for a 4 line Analog system. There is an example Config.xml for a 30 line ISDN as well. Just rename the Config files to make the sample one for 30 line E1 ISDN to be the main Config.xml and restart VG. If you still have problems: Please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Trace Logs which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what happened. Enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below: [Log] VoiceGuide=10 ktTel=10 Then restart VG and make a test call. Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory. When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments. Share this post Link to post
Threer Report post Posted 05/16/2007 02:45 PM Dear Support team, It worked after renaming the default file as you suggested. Many thanks indeed ! We have another simple question - is it possible to take a 4 line licence with an E1 card initially ? Once testing and commercialization is done, the difference could be paid to enable the rest of the lines. Chris Hello there, We have downloaded and installed VG for Dialogic (not licenced yet). SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/16/2007 10:14 PM is it possible to take a 4 line licence with an E1 card initially ? It is possible, however some phone company switches will not send calls on the E1 unless all the channels on it are opened. It's easy to try - just edit Config.xml to only open the first 4 channels and restart VoiceGuide. The E1 would also need to be configured to only send calls on the first 4 channels of the E1. This is not a common configuration. You may be able to have the E1 configured as a 'partial E1' where only the first 10 channels are enabled. You will need to speak to your Telco about this.
