ktruk Report post Posted 05/16/2007 10:58 PM Hi, can you outline your intention to support/develop (or otherwise) the TAPI version of VoiceGuide? If TAPI is to be discontinued, how long would you support it for? Could I buy licenses for discontinued product? Thx. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/16/2007 11:23 PM The TAPI version is definitely going to be continued. There are still a large number of TAPI capable telephony devices available out there and many users prefer to use those devices as they cost less then a Dialogic card. We are going to be releasing an update to the TAPI version of VoiceGuide. Basically the TAPI option will be added into version 7 of VoiceGuide (the Beta of v7 now only supports Dialogic and VoIP). ktruk Report post Posted 05/16/2007 11:37 PM Thx - Thats a relief! I know you guys would rather support pure dialogic, but I still think TAPI has a place for the reasons you describe, although I realise TAPI won't be around for ever! When you release Vg7 for TAPI, what will be the upgrade policy? If we keep vg5, can we still buy licenses for the superceded version? Thanks again. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/16/2007 11:41 PM Upgrade policy will be as always: a 50% credit given for the previously purchased licenses. v5.x licenses will continue to be available. Share this post Link to post
ktruk Report post Posted 05/17/2007 12:02 AM Okay - Thanks. I may have missed it already, but do you have a quick bullet-point summary of the new features in v7 compared to v5 (v6) or can you give me a link somewhere? Thx. Share this post Link to post
