jay@anisi.com Report post Posted 05/23/2007 04:46 PM Hello, Two problems: 1. I have intiated an Out Bound call to a phone#. After dialing the number, we answered the phone by picking up the phone. Voice Guide took 10 to 12 seconds to execute the first Module and read out a Welcome message over the phone. Why does it take 10 to 12 seonds. Usually, the listeners will not wait for 10 to 12 seconds of silence and they will hang up.. Any idea why? I attached the same script to "Inbound Calling", I did not notice any gap. It picked up immediateely.. 2. The outbound dial did not recognize the my home line on VOIP over Broadband connection.. when Answering machine picked up. I have two different modules, one for Contacted_Human, and one for Contacted_AM... Always, it goes to Contacted_Human.. Any idea why? Thank you, Jay Maddireddy Advanced Networks 770-664-9399 x102 Share this post Link to post

Did the person answering the call say "Hello" (or anything else for that matter as long as something is said) when call was answered? I assume that you are using Analog Dialogic cards? For analog Dialogic systems the Dialogic card waits for person (or machine) answering the call to say something in order for it to be able to detect the outgoing call as answered. Only ISDN systems can detect when the recipient’s handset is picked up. 2. The outbound dial did not recognize the my home line on VOIP over Broadband connection.. when Answering machine picked up. Looks like the Dialogic card does not detect that answering machine as a machine generated voice. This sometimes happens if the answering machine is very good quality. We can have a look at the traces, but most likely that this is what's happening. Share this post Link to post
