Deploying Calling Card Systems

Hello,

I'v been using voiceguide for years for my office auto attendant. I'm prepaid calling card distributor. I'm thinking that I have my own calling card. I did a little reserch, and know it's a project which need a couple of people working on it. But I just want to give a try in this competitive market, and see if it will convince me to do further investment. I fiound you have the prepaid calling card scripts, which might minimize the needs to set ithe system up. Because I know a bit of computer, database and programming.

I really appreciated If you can answer me some questions.

In the beginning, How many phone lines do I need for only one site local access? Can I use VOIP lines with ATA device instead of local phone landlines? Does your scripts include billing and PBX application? Does your scripts work as same as other calling card solution providers' systems? Maybe you can give me some more detail infomation?

The last question, How much do you charge for this scripts? thank you for taking time to answer the questions.

Hello Kevin,

VoiceGuide can be used for calling card systems. It's fairly straightforward to implement and we do have ready-to-use scripts available. System setup is pretty fast as you have the ready-to-use scripts and databases. All that is then required to run the system is an agent interface to the database, which would be designed to suit your own individual needs.

Will you be using T1/E1 lines? You really need to use T1/E1 so that you can get CallerID/DNIS information when call arrives, and reliable end of call signaling. We would further recommend using ISDN, rather then 'Robbed Bit/CAS' lines.

How many phone lines do I need for only one site local access?

As we recommend using T1/E1 ISDN then that number would be 24 (this would handle 12 simultaneous callers)

Can I use VOIP lines with ATA device instead of local phone landlines?

We would recommend you do not use those. You will have problems detecting end of call.

Does your scripts include billing and PBX application?

Yes, it includes billing, and can transfer callers to operator.

Does your scripts work as same as other calling card solution providers' systems?

Yes. Most Calling Card scripts are all pretty much the same.

How much do you charge for this scripts?

That actually depends on system size and setup as with those scripts we would be assisting in deploying them so that they work on your system. Cost is higher if you go ahead with analog Dialogic cards as this means we would be spending more time to help you deploy the system and answer the large number of end of call related issues that you would encounter...

Overall it may be even cheaper (if you include the cost of your time) for you to go with a 'Fractional' T1 ISDN an ISDN line where 8 or 16 lines are enabled (10 or 20 on E1) - you can usually still get those calls routed out over VoIP or other cheap connection by some of the Telcos. Or maybe you can use a VoIP->T1/E1 converter. You will need to explore options available in your local area.

We will send you the pricing options by email.
