The trace shows that the TAPI driver for the telephony card which you are using (Talk Voice 2LV) returned an error when asked to start recording in 8kHz 16bit Mono PCM mode.

You may want to contact the TAPI driver supplier (CallUrl) to see if they have a later model TAPI driver which does not have a problem recording in 8kHz 16bit Mono PCM mode.

We had other customers using the CallUrl boards so looks like drivers for those cards which do support 8kHz 16bit Mono PCM recording do exist.

Here are the errors returned by the TAPI driver on your system. 32 means "Unsupported Format Requested" :

223250.578 wavec waveInOpen(0x0, 0x0, 0x12e5a8, 0x3b861b0, 0x3d2d250, 0x1) => 32 (format: 8k16m)

223250.578 wavec waveInOpen(0x0, 0x0, 0x12e5a8, 0x3b861b0, 0x3d2d250, 0x5) => 32 (format: 8k16m, using WAVE_MAPPED)

after talking with callurl here is the response

Your Talk Voice 2LV+ (Use EasyTAPI 3.2.1) only support 8K 8-bit, Not 8K 16-bit.

If you really want to use 8K 16-bit, you should refer to our VoiceLink -2/4/8L(Use EasyTAPI 4.0.1) . As the following link shown: http://www.callurl.net/EasyTAPI400.asp

The VoiceLink board is new model and costs USD 100 more, so, most people still choose for the cheaper Talk Voice 2LV+.

We are bought this card after finding in your site that is compatible with your software.

Please find a solution to our ploblem

Thank you
