Guest Bank Transactions2 Report post Posted 08/21/2007 02:29 AM When we configure the voicemail email option, can we send the Caller ID in the subject similar to the manual voicemail module? I tried using the RV_ variables but nothing is populating in the subject or body other than the non-variable text. The RV_ variables are just blank, so it looks like it is trying to translate them, but nothing is populated. I am sure it is there as the log shows all the variables prior to the transfer to voicemail. Any help is what is missing or possible would be appreciated. Regards, Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/21/2007 03:16 AM can we send the Caller ID in the subject similar to the manual voicemail module? Yes. Result Variables can be used in Subject or Body. Any RV created during the call can be used. The default Subject/Body expression can be set using the Voicemail Manger. Also see in VG.INI, in the [Voicemail] section entries beginning with "ForwardVmEmail". Subject/Body can also be set on a per-voicemailbox basis. From http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/ht...stemmanager.htm : Email Forwarding The Voicemail Manager allows you to define the standard template for the Subject and Body of the emails sent with forwarded recorded messages. The Email's Subject and Body can also be customized on a per voicemail box basis by creating these test files in VG's \system\vm\ subdirectory: \system\vm\EmailForwardTemplate_XXXX_subject.txt \system\vm\EmailForwardTemplate_XXXX_body.txt Where XXXX is to be replaced by the voicemail box number. RV's can be used within these template files as well. The voicemail scripts can also be modified to append information to the message body - please examine the voicemail scripts to see how this is done. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/21/2007 03:28 AM If you are still having problems please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Trace Logs which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what happened. Enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below: [Log] VoiceGuide=10 Then restart VG and make a test call which demonstrates the problem. Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory. Please post the traces and the VoiceGuide script used. When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.
