SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/28/2007 11:39 AM No lights on the back of the card? Is it a Digital T1/E1 card or is it an Analog card? Have you installed Dialogic's System Release drivers? If yes then which version of Dialogic's System Release drivers was installed? Share this post Link to post
ktruk Report post Posted 08/30/2007 09:07 AM ...the windows plug and play does not find this device... I don't think windows plug-n-play works with ISA cards. An ISA card will require various old-fashoined system settings like: interrupt/IRQ, I/O Memory space assigned and system memory. These settings will made on the card and in the windows drivers. Defaults may not work, depending on what else you have on your system. (PCI slots take care of all this, thats why ISA has been phased out). Also, I don't think current Dialogic (v6) drivers support ISA any longer, you will need to install/run SR5.1 drivers or earlier. No lights means card is not recognised. After setting up card settings and installing dialogic drivers properley, you should get lights on and when a functional/suitable E1 line is connected. You should be able to run dialogic diagnostics and their demo applications (not Talker32 unless you install TAPI drivers, which you won't need if you are going to use VG4Dialogic cards). Once you get the lights on/card setup, drivers installed and dialogic demos working, come back here for VoiceGuie advice. Share this post Link to post
Guest samet10 Report post Posted 09/02/2007 02:57 PM OK. so so just to troubleshoot i tried installing a differant older dialogic DTI/300sc card on the same system. the intel DCM automatically found the other card. the UDD.exe said "Dialogic Boards Successfully Installed" so i assume the DCM is supposed to automatically find it. as well as the UDD. am i right in my assumsion or am i supposed to enter it manually into the DCM? another question. is it possible to start the service even though the the card is not connected to the E! port?? thanks Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/02/2007 03:11 PM The Dialogic Configuration Manager (DCM) should be able to find the card. If the DCM cannot find the card then he card may be faulty and you should contact the card supplier advising them that the DCM cannot find the card. is it possible to start the service even though the the card is not connected to the E! port?? Yes. The service will start, and the card will just have a red LED lit up on the back if no E1 line is plugged into the RJ45 port. Share this post Link to post
