Guest SalC Report post Posted 08/14/2003 03:42 PM Everytime I open the file in script designer, a blank line is added to all the vbscript modules. As you may imagine, this all adds up... Share this post Link to post
Guest SalC Report post Posted 08/14/2003 08:57 PM There is also a problem with using the scroll bars. I'm using Windows ME and it seems that the scroll bars have a mind of their own. When I try to click and scroll, it will not scroll correctly. It highlights and then either goes up really fast or down and I can't stop it. Just one of those weird things! SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/14/2003 11:09 PM With which version of the script designer are you experiencing these problems with ? I've just tried both tests with the current Beta19 release and there were no problems with either blank lines or scrolling... Share this post Link to post
Guest SalC Report post Posted 08/15/2003 03:35 AM I'm using beta 19. It is always reproducable. Share this post Link to post
Guest SalC Report post Posted 08/15/2003 06:17 PM The scrolling problem may be related only to Windows ME, but I think there is something worng with the controls getting confused since they are not standard Windows controls. I tried the new beta and still the same problem. It keeps adding a blank line to my vbscript modules everytime I open and save it. Share this post Link to post
Guest Travis Report post Posted 08/19/2003 02:56 AM It isn't of any great significance to me, but I have the scrolling problem too. I'm running Windows 2000 Pro and have never experienced a similar problem in any other software. When I left click on the small black arrow at either end of the scroll bar, the slider will take off and go really fast in that direction. The problem is worsened when I have other applications running at the same time as Voiceguide like Cool Edit Pro or Microsoft Media Player. Like I said it doesn't really matter to me, I just happened to read the post and thought I'd confirm the problem. It's just a little annoying. It happens about 60% of the time I use either scroll bar, and about 85% of the time when I have other applications running. Small flaw for such good software. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/25/2003 02:23 AM We have not been able to reproduce the problem here... but here is a version that uses the 'flat-look' scroll bars which may solve this problem... VgGsd.zip Share this post Link to post
Guest SalC Report post Posted 08/25/2003 05:09 PM Hello. Same problem again with that version too. I have attached a screenshot of what happens. Notice the scrollbar at the right and also the menu bar at the top. The menu is a second line down from the top which is weird. I would consider this to be more then an anoyance since it is very difficult to work with large scripts. I also sent an email regarding that the registration code given to us does not work with 5.0a. but did with beta 19. Thanks again! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/26/2003 01:41 AM menu is a second line down from the top which is weird. This is the case right now if the Script window is maximized - we are aware of this issue and can see it on our test systems. Notice the scrollbar at the right Have not seen this before and cannot reproduce this on our test systems - does the scroll bar disappear every time when you maximize the script window? or only when you maximize entire Script Designer application window as well? Was the scroll bar disappearing on this machine as well with the previous version of the Script Designer? 5.0beta19 and 5.0final codes are different. Share this post Link to post
bleach Report post Posted 11/02/2003 05:52 AM I'm running Win2k Pro and get the crazy scroll bars as well. It makes me clench my teeth everytime it happens, because it is so annoying, but you get used to it, and learn to finesse the mouse clicks though. I'm using version 5.0. I noticed it on the 5.1 beta as well, but have not checked 5.1 final, since i'm too lazy to reconfigure. Another problem i noticed is the script designer never saves any of my settings, like Replay Count and my selection to use short modules. Share this post Link to post
ashley.moore@kincare.org Report post Posted 11/12/2003 12:41 AM Hi, We're using Win XP Pro SP1 with VoiceGuide 5.1.2 and we get the same problem. Its really annoying and the only way to stop it scrolling right to the top of the script or bottom of the script seems to be to quickly click on the scroll bar and then immediately move your mouse away from the scroll bar. Otherwise, if you linger on the scroll bar it will scroll all the way to the top or bottom. Regards, Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/12/2003 01:59 AM Does this happen when you click on the two arrows at the end of the scroll bars as well as when you click on the space in between the current position indicator and the arrows at the end? Share this post Link to post
Guest Guest Report post Posted 11/12/2003 07:03 AM It seems to mainly happen when you click on the scroll bar between the up & down arrows, however, it still seems to do it when you click on the arrows, just not as often. Share this post Link to post

ashley.moore@kincare.org Report post Posted 11/13/2003 01:17 AM Dear VoiceGuide Support, I've also noticed that when this problem occurs, either the up & down arrow or the area of the scroll bar between the 2 arrows (depending on how you were trying to scroll and where you clicked), seems to become "greyed". Its almost like the VG Designer hasn't released the previous mouse click and it still thinks that the mouse button is depressed. Cheers, Share this post Link to post
