Guest chadfs Report post Posted 09/10/2007 05:25 PM hi, In NFAS settings for DM3 boards, like boards DMV480A-2T1, I know for primary D channel trunk, the LinAdmin section, SignalingType (CAS=4, CCS=5, Clear=6) part, for primary D channel trunk, it should be set to CCS. For clear channel, it should be set to Clear. What about backup D channel trunk? Should I set it to CCS or Clear? Somehow remember I saw somehere in document says it need to be set to Clear. But in my test, I have to set it to CCS to bring the D channel up, otherwise, it will never come up. Does anyone have experience on that? And also, does DMV480A-2T1 support the backup D channel? Thanks. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/10/2007 10:12 PM Backup D-Channels on NFAS setups are supported, but only when using certain protocols. Which Protocol is used on this system? D-Channels should not be set as "Clear". Clear is used for a Voice channel. Have you read this Tech Notes from Dialogic: http://www.dialogic.com/support/helpweb/dx...s/new/tn934.htm Share this post Link to post

Have you read this Tech Notes from Dialogic: http://www.dialogic.com/support/helpweb/dx...s/new/tn934.htm We are using 5ESS. I've read the tech note from Dialogic, but that note, it does not have a backup D channel example. So, backup D channel should be set to CCS. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/11/2007 01:58 PM Sounds like the next step would be to install VoiceGuide v7. How many cards are placed in this system? On which board/interface are the primary and backup D channels enabled? I assume that the latest SR6.0 Service Update is used on this system? Share this post Link to post
