Send Mail Problem

Hello,

 

We are evaluating voiceguide 7.

We now have an problem sending e-mail.

 

Email is not arriving at mail server.

 

MMDDes.txt is not created even after changin the ' emailsender=10' option in vg.ini.

 

Why doen't this file get created?

Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Trace Logs which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what happened.

 

Enable logging by setting the log levels to 10 in VG.INI as per below:

[Log]

 

VoiceGuide=10

Then restart VG and make a test call which demonstrates the problem.

 

Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory.

 

Please post the traces and the VoiceGuide script used.

 

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

Please update your system to this version of VoiceGuide, and see if this resolves the send email problem on your system.

Please backup your scripts and config files and then uninstall VoiceGuide and delete any .DLL and .EXE files in VG's main directory if any are left after uninstall.

 

Then delete the vgServices.dll from the GAC:

Go to C:\Windows\Assembly folder in Windows Explorer then right click on vgServices object and select 'uninstall'.

 

After doing the above please install the new version.

 

 

If you continue having problems please post traces as before.

We have installed the new version. The mail now gets send but...
The trace-file for mail is not generated in the trace directory (vg.ini has correct settings: all set to 10).

The script always follows the failed path (even the mail is send and delivered).

We have attached the trace-files we have from the new version incl. vgs-file.

There was an error with installer in the previously provided build. Please try with this version: [old link removed]

v7 of VoiceGuide does not create a separate email related trace file. Email send success or fail is recorded in the vgEngine trace log.
