SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/28/2007 01:12 PM From http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/soundfiles.htm : The format of sound files which are to be used depends on which version of VoiceGuide is used. Versions 7.x (for Dialogic and VoIP/HMP) : WAV 8kHz, 8-bit Mono, A-Law u-Law format. Format is selected at install time. Versions 6.x (for Dialogic) : WAV PCM 8kHz, 8-bit, Mono, PCM. Can alos use VOX files: 8kHz, 4bit, ADPCM. Versions 5.x (for TAPI devices - mainly Voice Modems) : WAV 8kHz, 16-bit, Mono, PCM. When using Voiceguide versions 5.x with Dialogic TAPI/WAVE drivers then the sound files must be recorded in the format used by the Dialogic Wave driver, which is WAV 11kHz, 8bit, Mono, PCM. The sound file formats used are the same as used by all other IVR systems worldwide (it's the telephony cards that determine the format ultimately used) and the frequency and bits/sample used are more then adequate to achieve a achieve good quality playback.
