Srvany Service Fails To Start

Hi,

 

I am trying to run voiceguide as a service using instsrv and srvany. The service starts and then fails.

 

I have added the dependency Dialog to the voiceguide service and it shows up in the dependency box in the service management screen.

 

VoiceGuide starts with no issue from a command line.

 

VoiceGuide is registered using the Dialogic card information.

 

The service is running using a system account.

 

I set the VG log to 10, but no entries are made when launching the service.

 

I have the same setup running on an XP server and verified the settings are the same for the service installation and registry settings. This new installation is a new 2003 server.

 

 

Any help is appreciated.

If you cannot get srvany to work for you then maybe you can try looking at other 'service wrapping' tools. eg: http://www.firedaemon.com/

 

Another option is to use v7 of VoiceGuide. VoiceGuide v7 runs natively as a Windows Service.
