Is something like possible?: If someone wants to talk to me, they just dial my phone number without doing anything else and VG will not answer even after many rings. However, if someone wants to enter data to the database using VG, they can activate VG e.g. by press a number and the VG automatically takes over the call. How can i do this? SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/24/2007 08:56 AM A common approach is to have VoiceGuide answer the call and if caller selects to speak to a live person (selection would be made by pressing a DTMF key) then VoiceGuide plays a sound file over the PC speaker alerting user to pick up the phone. VoiceGuide can then hang up 30 seconds or so after playing the file. VoiceGuide (and any other system) needs to answer the call before it can hear what the caller is pressing/saying.
