H323 Config.xml

Hi,

I am totally lost with the config.xml file. Using VG7 with the Dialogic HMP Software I am trying to get VoiceGuide to answer a call from my Altigen system. I have seen examples for SIP but nothing for H323. This is all new to me so I am learning as I go. I am able to get various softphones to work so I am comfortable the phone system will do H323 without any hitches.

The default config which is installed when VoiceGuide v7 is installed in 'VoIP mode' configures the Dialogic HMP top answer calls in both SIP and H.323

 

Have you tried placing a call directly to the IP address of the server on which VoiceGuide is installed?

When I start VG this is the error I get

 

1026_ktTel.zip

 

I am using the default config.xml

Are you by any chance using the "Service Update 157" version of HMP3.0 on this system?

 

We have had reports of problems with that version.

 

Please do the following to test if HMP is working properly on our system:

 

Try running just the gc_basic_call_demo sample application from Dialogic, using the attached file as the configuration file.

(the attached file just enables one VoIP line for incoming calls)

 

The gc_basic_call_model sample application needs to be ran from Command Prompt, form this directory:

 

C:\Program Files\Intel\HMP\demos\gc_basic_call_model

 

See if the gc_basic_call_demo sample application is opening that first channel correctly.

 

If you are seeing ptroblesm with the gc_basic_call_model sample application running properly then please uninstall the current version of HMP3.0 and install the SU152 version of HMP.

 

Then run the gc_basic_call_model sample application again.

 

Only once Dialogic's gc_basic_call_model sample application is opening the port correctly (and can be seen answering an incoming call) then you should try runnig VoiceGuide.

I downgraded the HMP software and thought it did not help and it didn't until I removed VG and installed it fresh. I now have a working system although the speech is a little draggy. I should have my presentation done next week and we should place an order the next week.
