timwoolley Report post Posted 10/26/2007 10:27 PM Before I upgraded the IVR sounded great. After I upgraded someone noticed that was a significant static on the line, massive static. I thought it was line noise from a bad connection so I had our phone company come and check the line, they said they are static free, as static free as a line cam be. So I thought it may be the audio files we are using for some reason so I created a .vgs file with a play module using tts and I got the same static. So I used the script you supplied to answer and record. I recorded me talking into the phone when I called in and it was static free. I am baffled. Attached are the log files and 3 .wav files. N01 is compressed at 8khz 8bit. N01f01c.wav is compressed at 8khz 16bit. the file__1026_132114.wav is the one that I recorded using the answer and record script. So after all this, just a few minutes ago, I created another script to play the file __1026_132114.wav to see if it has static, it does when played back. So on calling out the tts, the file __1026_132114.wav, and the other 2 files sound terrible, but I can call in and it records as clear as a bell. Any help would be appreciated. I am using a dialogic D/41JCT-LS on windows server 2003 with VG 6.00.3377. I am sorry to be such a pain but I am at a loss here. N01.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/27/2007 07:44 AM Do the sound files which are installed with VoiceGuide sound OK? For example, Have you tried running the default Credit Card Payment demo script? How do the played back sound files sound like? The sound files posted look fine, not sure why there would be static when those sound files are played back. Share this post Link to post

Please email your details along with the link to this thread to support@voiceguide.com Unfortunately I am not allowed to give anyone access to our servers, HIPPA regulations. Is there any way you can tell me what you would be looking for and I can get you the info? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/01/2007 09:12 PM The intention was to just double check the installation to ensure the correct sound file formats are actually used during the calls. And for a test installing an version verison or v7 of VG in a separate directory and alternatively starting the older and newer versions to hear the actual difference when dialing into the system.
